LinkedIn is hiring a marketing consultant

In a blog post Wednesday, LinkedIn said it has added “a new advanced marketing capabilities matrix to help candidates who want to build a strong marketing pipeline.”
LinkedIn is one of the biggest employers in the tech industry, with more than 11 million users, according to data from comScore.
The company says it has more than 1,300 marketing professionals who work on marketing projects, with the majority of them working on sales, marketing, engineering and operations teams.
The firm also has a marketing program that offers up to $50,000 for a four-week internship.
The company says that this new matrix will help candidates “to build a robust marketing pipeline, including product-market fit, sales and support, and other key metrics that help to make decisions on marketing.”
While LinkedIn does not say how much it will pay to hire the candidate, the blog post says the hiring will start in February.
It says the new job will include “a deep dive into a variety of strategic areas of business and a detailed analysis of industry trends.”
LinkedIn said the candidate will be responsible for managing an online presence and developing new content for LinkedIn.
